Blower motor resistors are used with a single winding motor to regulate the motor speed. Blower motor resistors typically have a  group of three or four wire resistors integrated into a block assembly with terminals. Some resistors are also called blower motor credit card resistors. They work in a similar manner as the block style but they have a thermal limiter switch.
