How to correctly install a compressor without cracking an ear

If you are installing a compressor and mount onto your engine for the first time the following are instructions explain the proper method to install those parts. It is very important to install a compressor correctly so that you do not damage a brand new part. It is highly recommended and encouraged that you tighten the compressor to the mount without the mount being installed on the engine. Once the compressor is secured to the mount then it is safe to bolt the compressor/mount to the engine. If you try to secure the compressor to the mount while it is bolted to the engine it will cause too much strain and tension and it is very probable to crack an ear on the compressor. If the proper method is not followed and the compressor is damaged you will be liable for getting a new compressor.
