Cabin air filter for Grand Cherokees from 1999 - 2008.The filter is designed to keep dust particles, pet hair, and other evaporator clogging contaminates from entering the fins of the evaporator. The filter is the least expensive and simplest way to keep the evaporator from leaking. If contaminates clog the fins of the evaporator it could cause corrosion which leads to leaks.
